Session 1 students are considering dance as a profession, either immediately after graduation or through a higher education program. Daily classes include ballet technique, pointe technique, modern, contemporary, jazz, and improvisational dance. Yoga classes, Progressing Ballet Technique classes and workshops in Anatomy and Kinesiology supplement dancers training. Students take part in the creation of new works for a final performance and learn repertoire by Robert Joffrey and Gerald Arpino (by permission of The Gerald Arpino Foundation) for a final performance.
