June 21 - July 18, 2020
Session IB: June 28 - July 18, 2020
Students attend this program to train in advanced level classes and are serious about the intensity of their training. Session 1 students are considering dance as a profession, either immediately after graduation or through a higher education program. Daily classes include ballet technique, pointe technique, men’s class, partnering class, modern, contemporary, jazz, and improvisational dance. Yoga classes, Progressing Ballet Technique classes and workshops in Anatomy and Kinesiology supplement dancers training. Students take part in the creation of new works for a final performance and learn repertoire by Robert Joffrey and Gerald Arpino (by permission of The Gerald Arpino Foundation) for a final performance. Students may choose to attend for three or four weeks of Session I.
